Tis the season for all things merry and bright! Find the Holiday spirit in your own backyard with a variety of events happening in your area. Check out the list of events below:   

 

Rochester

November 24th – December 23rd, Meadow Brook Hall Holiday Walk: It’s the most wonderful time of year! Meadow Brook Hall’s annual Holiday Walk brings the magic of the season alive with an unforgettable series of activities and special events. Experience the wonder of our more than 50 magnificent trees—including a 10-foot tall Poinsettia tree created by 150 live plants, dazzling trimmings, and lights galore! Get tickets here.

December 10th, Caroling in the City: Join in for more holiday spirit than you can shake a candy cane at! Christmas Choirs, Ugly Sweater Contest, Christmas Cookie Station, Strolling Carolers and the return of the Rochester Community Carolers! You won't want to miss it when we transform Downtown Rochester into Whoville with the grand finale of the community caroling around the Christmas tree in the middle of Main Street. Event info here.

December 13th, Young Professional Holiday Brunch & Sock Exchange: Come celebrate your 2023 wins and lessons learned with a supportive community of your peers. We will share YP Leadership announcements too. Network, make connections, level up your professional game with recommended resources and enjoy breakfast with new friends! Lake Orion

Every Weekend in December, Canterbury Village Holiday Stroll: Explore numerous exciting Holiday displays with live characters bringing the holidays to life! Bring your letter to Santa and drop it in our mailbox for special delivery! Get your tickets here.

December 2nd, Orion Lighted Christmas Parade: The Orion Area Parade Group brings you the Orion Lighted Christmas Parade on the 1st Saturday of December. Dress warm and line the streets before the parade starts. The parade will begin at 6:00 pm from Blanche Sims Elementary School and end at the Ehman Center. Stick around after for complimentary professional photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus. Full event information here.

December 16th & 17th, The Nutcracker Ballet: Michigan Ballet Theatre is pleased to present the legendary Christmas classic The Nutcracker on December 16 and December 17 at the Lake Orion High School Performing Arts Center.  This beloved holiday ballet, with music by Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky, is the highlight of Michigan Ballet Theatre's season and promises to delight audiences of all ages. The story of The Nutcracker recreates the Christmas Eve dream of a young girl named Clara and her vivid fantasies of a Nutcracker Prince, an evil Mouse King, a Sugar Plum Fairy and her magical Kingdom of Sweets. November 24th, Holiday Stroll at Canterbury Village: Tis the season! Enjoy Numerous exciting Holiday displays with live characters bringing the holidays to life! Bring your letter to Santa Claus and drop it in our mailbox for special delivery to SANTA. Purchase tickets here.

November 25th, Shop Small Saturday: Shop Small, Shop Local! Check in at the DDA table on Broadway & Flint to receive SWAG, shopping guide, shopping passport and some hot cocoa. Shop small event is from 10-2PM. Save the date.

 

Auburn Hills

December 1st, 30th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony: A family fun event featuring the arrival of Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and the lighting of our downtown Christmas Tree with the Mayor. Join in on the fun in Downtown Auburn Hills from 3-6PM.

December 1- 26th, LEGOLAND Bricktacular Event: Experience our LEGO® winter wonderland during Holiday Bricktacular, the kid-friendly holiday event at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center! Celebrate the holidays at LEGOLAND Discovery Center open from 10-6PM. Get your ticket here.
